33.5 kg gold smuggling case: Police raid Bajeko Sekuwa outlets in Kathmandu


Kathmandu, June 13 : A special committee formed to investigate into the 33.5 kg gold smuggling case has raided multiple outlets of Bajeko Sekuwa, a Nepali restaurant, in Kathmandu Valley on Wednesday afternoon.

The committee raided various outlets of the restaurant situated in different places of Kathmandu this afternoon.

The owner of the restaurant, Chetan Bhandari, is at large. Bhandari’s name was also dragged in the smuggling case.

A case was registered against him as an absconding defendant at the Morang District Court earlier.
