Big Bash League: Sandeep gets two more, becomes leading wicket taker

Kathmandu, December 27

Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane continues to impress. He claimed two wickets in his third match of the Big Bash League against the Sydney Sixers helping his side restrict the opponents to 130 and becoming the highest wicket-taker in the tournament.

Lamichhane added two more wickets to his name to take the tally to seven on Thursday. Austrailian international Moises Henriques was Lamichhane’s first victim of the day. Henriques was undone by a brilliant googly which pitched outside off trapping him LBW. The ball zipped past the inside edge, hit him on the front shin in front of off stump.

Lamichhane then got the better of England international Tom Curran who was out LBW after he tried to reverse sweep the young leg-spinner. Lamichhane finished with figures of 2-18 in his four overs bowling 11 dot balls in the process.
