NEA establishing 20 charging stations for evehicles

Kathmandu,Dec 07: Supporting the government policy to increase the presence of electric vehicles in the country, the Nepal Electricity Authority has decided to establish 20 charging stations in various parts of the country, reports Abhiyan in its lead story. The Authority says it is currently searching for pieces of land to begin the construction works. Meanwhile, some private bus services are also planning to establish such stations, according to the report.

Nepal, Bangladesh to form panels for energy cooperation

Kathmandu,Dec 05: Abhiyan and Karobar report on their front pages that Nepal and Bangladesh have agreed to form two joint committees in order to identify new hydropower projects for investment and study the feasibility of cross-border transmission line. Both the countries have agreed to form the committees within next one month. Each panel includes three members from each side. A meeting of the officials held in Kathmandu made the decision.

Kathmandu, November 28 The Finance Committee in the House of Representatives has formed a team to carry out a study on various dimensions of hydropower development in Nepal. Kathmandu city installs 12 smart solar dustbins; more soon

Kathmandu, November 27 The Kathmandu Metropolitan City recently installed 12 smart solar dustbins along Maitighar-Baneshwor road. The local government says more such dustbins will be installed in different parts of the city soon. The programme is launched under the Public-Private Partnership Division of the local government. Chinese company Vivo allotted land for manufacturing smartphones in north India

NEW DELHI, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) — Chinese mobile manufacturing company Vivo has been allotted around 68 hectares of land in India’s northern state of Uttar Pradesh to expand its manufacturing capacity. The land approved by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is located in the state’s business township Greater Noida. Kathmandu,Nov 06:In a bid to help the government achieve the target of increasing the number of electric vehicles upto 20 per cent of the total in next five years, Nepal Electricity Authority is planning to establish five charging stations in various parts of the country, according to Karobar. The Authority is currently preparing documents to call for the tender for the task, the report informs.
