Deuba donates Rs 2.5 million to storm survivors

Kathmandu, April 2

Nepali Congress Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has announced that he will donate Rs 2.5 million to survivors of a storm in Bara and Parsa districts.

Deuba made the announcement as he visited Pheta village of Bara district, one of the worst hit locations by the Sunday storm, on Tuesday afternoon.

During the visit, the leader also met survivors.

Meanwhile, the former prime minister also expressed his dissatisfaction over the federal government’s weak presence in the affected region.

Nepal Communist Party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal is also scheduled to visit the region today whereas another chairman of the party KP Sharma Oli was there yesterday.
