Differently-abled people trek around Annapurna

Kathmandu, September 25

Two Nepali differently-abled women and seven differently-abled Israelis recently trekked around Annapurna Circuit and visited Thorong Pass at an elevation of 5,416 metres recently. They were assisted by 25 other Israelis during the trek.

Speaking at the function, a participant from Nepal, Phul Maya Tamang, said it was a unique and memorable experience. She further said, “Israeli trekkers really helped me, supported me and were very considerate. I really hope to meet you all again in the future.”

From the Israeli side, physically challenged Adir Horesh, said, “It was indeed a difficult journey. I even thought that we will not be able to make it through, but with the help and support of each other, we had experienced something magical. This experience has made us stronger than before.” He also advised all the differently-abled people to spend each day merrily and never to lose hope.
