International Day of Yoga Observed Today

Kathmandu, June 21

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has attended a programme in the capital to mark the International Day of the Yoga.

The programme at Kathmandu’s city hall was also attended by education minister Giriraj Mani Pokhrel and Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri.

“The practice of yoga predates human languages and scripts. Everyone needs yoga to remain healthy,” said Prime Minister Oli, addressing the event. The Prime Minister, hinting at the recent protests against the proposed Guthi Bill, said that there were some elements in the country that want to incite the people. He added that the government will thwart their plans and guide the country on the path of prosperity.
