Kathmandu, December 24

Sandeep Lamichhane impressed again taking three wickets in his four-over against the Hobart Hurricanes on Monday.

Lamichhane, who took two wickets in the first game on Friday was the pick of the bowlers for his team Melbourne Stars who lost to the Hurricanes in a closely fought encounter.

Alex Doolan was Lamichhane’s first victim who didn’t read the leg spinner’s googly. Doolan left a big gap between bat and pad and the ball sneaked through as he played for a turn away from him.

The young leggie then made Australian wicketkeeper Mathew Wade play a rash shot giving his team hope. Wade top-edged a sweep straight to short fine leg. Lamichhane’s googly was fruitful once again as he trapped Ben McDermott to get his third wicket.

Lamichhane finished with figures of 3-24 in this four over bowling nine dot balls in the process. He now has five wickets in his first two games in the Big Bash League.
