Mobile app to address public complaints

Kathmandu, May 24

The government would soon launch a new mobile application to address complaints of the public about various government agencies and services.

The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has started homework for the launch of ‘Nagarik Adhikar’ (Citizen Rights).

At present, ‘Hello Sarkar’ is the only authorised government portal that has been registering complaints from public and forwarding them to the concerned authorities.

However, the new app will directly link the general public to the concerned authority, informed an official at the OPMCM.

“The new app is being prepared to ease the works of Hello Sarkar and make it more manageable. We believe this will be more effective,” he added.

The budget for preparing the app will be allocated in the upcoming budget statement for the next fiscal year.
