The newly-formed Nepal Communist Party will hold its first Standing Committee meeting at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Saturday.

The co-chairs of the party, KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal, decided to hold the meeting on June 16 following a discussion this week.

According to central committee member Bishnu Rijal, a four-point agenda has been prepared for the meeting. “Both the chairs will address the party’s first standing committee meeting.”

Similarly, General Secretary Bishnu Poudel said that details of organisational works will be presented in the meeting. “The party’s working procedure might also be approved. The draft has already been sent to standing committee members.”

The meeting will also discuss the Prime Minister’s official visit to China. Prior to the 45-member standing committee meeting, a meeting of central secretariat will be held.
