Three including two government employees arrested red-handed for taking bribe

Feb 23, 2017: Three persons including two government employees have been held from Bhaktapur on the charge of bribery.

A team from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested non-gazetted first class officer Rishi Ram Budhathoki at Bhaktapur District Land Revenue Office, office helper Keshab Bahadur Khatri and para-legal practitioner Bishnu Hari Nhusutu red-handed while taking a bride of Rs 614,000 from one of their clients, police said.

The arrest was made in the presence of Chief of the Land Revenue Office Kamal Timilsina and inspector Raj Kumar Silwal on Wednesday evening.

The arrestees had been under surveillance since a week ago on the basis of complaints registered against them, said CIAA employee Gokul Panta. RSS
