Yeti Obhijaan becomes first Bengali movie to be dubbed into Nepali

Kathmandu, September 7

Adventure film ‘Yeti Obhijaan’ will become the first Bengali film to be dubbed into Nepali, Indian media have reported.

Nepal’s Gopi Krishna Movies will dub the film into Nepali and distribute in the country. It will be named ‘Yeti’ in Nepali.

The movie based on Sunil Gangopadhyay’s novel Pahar Churoy Aatonko (Terror on the Mountain Peak) tells the story of a man’s pursuit to solve the mystery behind the existence of the yeti, also known as the Abominable Snowman.

Mahendra Soni, co-founder and director of SVF Entertainment, which has produced the film, has been quoted in the reports that the film involved so many Nepalis and hence they decided to dub it in their language as well.

“The translation has been done. Voices will be of Nepali artists. Posters have already been readied,” Soni added.

Directed by Srijit Mukherjee, the film has been extensively shot in Switzerland at an altitude of 12,000 feet in the Alps.
